forgot to share this here before; my band, switchblade★seven has recently released our debut independent 'single' on nov. 11 of which can be downloaded for free [ here - inclusive of cover art ].

titled 'beautify the filth' [ actual title is クリムゾンプリンセス ~beautify the filth~, but we had to shorten it to just the english title for our local market v.v ], the music was composed and arranged by mr. ewans [ vocals / guitar ] and hazarulizreen [ guitar / keyboard ] while i provided the lyrics and the design / artwork for the cover / inlay. and for those who missed out the detail i've shared here earlier, i am the drummer of the band [ aka the person who goes by the callsign 'fuminozomi' ].

p/s : great portion of the visual theme / concept were influenced by black★rock shooter by huke while the lyrics were inspired from kannazuki no miko - also included on the inner inlay within the download package :3

[ GREATEST OP THIS YEAR. PERIOD ]

one; the title track of the single is a very uplifting song, with intricately beautiful, exquisitely grandiose musical arrangement ever written - leading to 'my dearest' being crowned as one of the best song i've heard to from this year's anime openings catalogue. two; i personally vote this single as my ultimate favorite above all other anime openings this year. period. third; the first of the two accompanying b-sides [ 罪人 ] is a beautiful ballad piece, a befitting companion to the title track indeed. not to mention the uptempo rock piece that succeeds it [ 大貧民 ] is a fun track itself, and certainly is a fun piece to cover with my band later on |3

ahmad tea's jasmine green tea

aside from lipton's apple tea which i once had mentioned prior, ahmad tea's jasmine green tea currently is one of my favorite late night tea of late. to be precise, i am already fan of jasmine green tea since back in 1994 [ or was it earlier / later ? i wasn't quite sure lol ] when yeo's [ a domestic canned beverage company ] first launched their canned jasmine green tea of which is still surviving til now [ to my greatest surprise, given that there's plenty of peeps who hated it compared to those who otherwise loved it, like myself |3 ].

i never really had the chance to taste on jasmine green tea served hot until recently - thus when i first had a sip of it, i was hastily transported to a realm of zen; a taste so serene especially when you know best the right amount of sugar to properly complement [ while not heavily drowning ] the taste of this mild, heavenly tea.

god knows how happy i was when i finally get her to be delivered to my doorstep. wasted no time at unboxing her, only for me to die twice from just how gorgeous she is at closer look. simply put, glorious figure is glorious, and everything about her is absolutely wonderful that the many months of [ suffering ] wait i had then was worth it. the paint job's marvelous, and the sculpt work's absolutely great and highly detailed, so detailed that you can see and feel the tsun in / on her even though she could not speak nor act her personality out.

thanks to her finally being here, MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE T^T

thank god that i can now use my current address to receive deliveries from now on. had both her and fumino sitting in the care of the retailer for many months then, and i certainly feel bad for them [ and the retailer of course xP ]. anyway, a very nice figma she is, and hopefully her life in my care would last long as i've read on many blogs that she's quite the fragile one, esp in regard to her chest joint.

another waifu to be added into my budding figya collection - and this time, the lucky girl is no other than the mega moe caster [ tamamo-no-mae ] of fate / extra. to be frank, i am still hoping for a certain yukikaze panettone of dog days fame to be making her figurine debut soon but this caster could as well provide a satisfying alternative [ not to mention she's my ultimate favorite from the fate mythologies -aside from sakura matou, leysritt and caren ortensia- to date ] since they're both of the kitsune-mimi archetype; my favorite animal ears archetype of all.

so i went to the bon odori matsuri [ the one held in penang ] with a friend last saturday [ july 16th ], only to become slightly disappointed at how massively detached the event was from its japanese roots; the bon odori held there was more malaysian than it should be - especially with the [ near-absolute ] lack of japanese treats [ except for the usual sushi and okonomiyaki hurrr ] and games usually present at any matsuri - save for the stage performances and some folks wearing their yukatas. thank god however that the fireworks display at the close of it truly saved the day for me.

anyway, despite my disappointing experience with penang's take on bon odori this year, i however get to obtain some really good stuff to my greatest pleasure. and among these awesome stuff was a few volumes of the manga you see up here. and many thanks to borders penang, i now get to experience building up my [ physical ] manga collection of my own after being forced to just sit and wait for any bookstores to finally bring in some manga here in the northern states / region.

i've stated it many times before that i'm a fan of evangelion [ and most especially, a certain asuka |3 ], and this [ less mind-raeping ] alternate series was among the many manga titles i've been looking forward to start collecting on. okay, and so with that said, just a few hours into my read of this, i am now so certainly sure that my expectation aren't going to get any lesser, and again i greatly thank myself for ever having quite an interest to check over this one out.

been slightly busy with my band as of recently [ in case none of you had known yet, i currently play drums for a post-hardcore band, as well as running an electronic / industrial based solo project on the side ], as well as getting high on a certain ancient flight sim in between; thus the noticeable lack on updates back at +ophanium lately.

my band is currently in the middle of recording our first demo-single [ which i will share here once it's ready, should i get the permission from the rest of the band of course |3 ], and thus i'll probably be a bit busy for 2-3 weeks - refining my drumworks before i get them on record, amending some parts of the lyrics which doesn't rhyme well with the melody [ currently i am tasked with the lyrics by our frontman ] as well as working on the artwork / cover art for said demo-single; i already had some drafts / concept design[s] ready for the latter, but none of them seem to be in perfect sync with the title song of the demo-single v.v

anyway, +ophanium might become a bit too quiet for the first two weeks of the upcoming march, but i will try to drop by and scribble something out whenever i had some free time to spare :3

photobucket is one crappy image hosting service, best known for compressing hosted images into quality that is beyond horrible. that said, we now have to replace about over 300+ or more images used for +ophanium's older entries between 2008 and late 2009 - quite a lot of numbers there, and for this we'll be hating it even more.

for starters, we'll be focusing on cosplay entries [ might as well amend some of our commentaries from before along the way ] before proceeding with our anime posts.

i finally had my chance to have my try / taste on pocari sweat [ an energy drink ] after seeing it being referenced / parodied in a number of animes, and my tasting experience of it was quite fine if i must say; said 'ion supply drink' tasted much like most other energy drinks i've had before, with the same citrus-y aftertaste [ mentioned in the wiki as 'grapefruit-y' ].

still what i love the most about pocari sweat is that it is non-carbonated.

actually i've completed both this and ace combat 04 recently, just that i forgot to post it here when i had my first try on it a few weeks back. overall both games were highly fun, highly entertaining, highly captivating and highly engaging. the gameplay is what has gotten me deeper into these, as well as both stories which i find to be overwhelmingly mesmerizing. the replay value is remarkably high, and i'm sure that i'll never get bored no matter how many times i put a replay on both games. good job project aces, good job namco !

continuing from oh so desperate-; so i did a little obvious troll stunt again recently, and my prey took my bait very seriously much to my utmost anticipation. knowing him, i know very well that little troll of mine would definitely be resulting in some 'serious business' kind of result, since he's willing to do anything in order to uphold his massive pride [ and to make himself look as if he's the victim there, while portraying me as the 'meanie' villain as always :3 ].

hands down one of the best rpg i had come to play so far, aside from final fantasy x, final fantasy xii and odin sphere just to name a few. gameplay wise it kinds of reminding me over odin sphere, with the same use of the valkyrie / norse [ ? ] theme in the plot / story. and what a delightful selection of folk-inspired music as well :3

i just got my playstation 2 console back after being loaned for 2 years to one of my younger brother. lucky me, he returned it in the good condition as it was then, else i'll be forcing him to buy me a replacement unit should the console has worn off beyond expectation.

due to my infatuation with everything sleek [ and neat ], and my recent discovery of the font and color tweak for blogger [ slowpoke me, why haven't i checked on that option long before this ? duh- ] i've decided to give both blogs [ +ophanium and smochizu ] a minor cosmetic touch up. well, nothing much really, just changing all of the fonts to arial and setting the post title color to something that is much more... urm, feminine ? no. pink IS feminine... but i think i kinda liked the lavender-ish post title against the white background now :3

i seem to have the habit / tendency to toy with people who i deem to be unworthy / no longer worthy of interest -especially those who think so highly of themselves although they're actually not- just to prove to them that they can be wrong at times, in contrast to their mindset that they were always right. okay so some may justify my action as emotional / immature but that's how i hammer in some sense into these people. and like it or not, everyone has their own [ preferred ] modus operandi for things like this.

i greatly believe that nowadays i do things the zange way :D [ no, am not referring to our dearest editor with the same nickname :3 ]

as the title says. this would be my other CCM favorite aside from sixpence none the richer, and yeah, i was just picking up on the rock sector of christian music [ save for sixpence which i have been listening to since the release of their eponymous album ], which is why my christian rock inventory is kinda limited at the moment.

among my personal faves off the album were : something beautiful, secret kingdom, in wonder, i am free and the letter ( one of a kind ). the album itself is a killer, thus i find it hard to pinpoint any tracks which i dislike from the album.

i have people asking, and i too personally think that now is the time for me to clarify things before we step into 2010- and so here we go; for those who've been asking in regard to zange's role within the +ophanium team [ since she hadn't wrote much up until now to qualify herself as an indispensable asset to the team ] well she primarily serve as our in-team grammar checker [ or whatever term you use to call such people as such :3 ], thus if you have paid enough attention to +ophanium's back entries since december 2008 then you might have noticed a remarkable growth in grammar usage [ though still not as perfect as how we wanted them to be ], and it all thanks to her [ sometimes over- ] dedicated service in correcting those which i have messed :P
